InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Referring to the information from Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), crude palm oil (CPO) consumption in Indonesia for for in the last four months increased consistently. In September 2020, the CPO consumption reached 667 thousand tons.
Compared to last year in January to September 2020, the food consumption was smaller about 15,8%.
The oleo-chemical consumption was flat. In September, the oleo-chemical consumption reached 151 thousand tons. The numbers were the same with August and only 3 thousand tons got better than those in July.
In year on year (y o y) by September, the oleo-chemical consumption was better (+49%) than it in 2019. The CPO consumption for biodiesel in September 2020 reached 630 thousand tons or increased 54 thousand tons than it in August. In y o y, biodiesel consumption increased 27,2% than it in 2019.
