PalmOilMagazine JAKARTA - Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS) District of Sekadau recently and directly accompanied the smallholders to make palm oil unions. They are Koperasi Tani Jaya Mandiri, Koperasi Persada Engkersik Lestari, Koperasi Piansak Mandiri, and one in progress.
“Every union has independent smallholders as the members for about 200,” Sabaraudin of SPKS recently told to PalmOilMagazine.
He thought that the unions should be the places for the smallholders to develop partnership with the companies and develop sustainable palm oil through Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO).
“They are made in cooperation and collaboration with the regional government, SPKS, and plantation companies through the supports in SPOS Indonesia or “Dukungan Sawit Berkelanjutan di Indonesia,” Sabarudin said. (T2)
