Internationally Admitted, Sulung Research Station Maintains ISO 17025

PalmOilMagazine, JAKARTA – In this globalization, the guarantee to quality and result of test would be very in need. The laboratory would determine the control process and the quality assurance. To get the same analysis result of the laboratory, it needs the international standards which cover the quality system and good technic, such as, ISO/IEC 17025.

Analytic laboratory of Sulung Research Station (SRS) as part of institutional research of palm oil plantation company, PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk., Citra Borneo Indah Group got International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025 : 2017, as test laboratory within accreditation number LP-1056-IDN since 2016.

Analytic laboratory of SRS successfully maintains accreditation certification in the re-accreditation held by Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) in 2020. It was decided and announced on 24 February 2021 based on the meeting result of KAN and would be last for the next five years or until 22 November 2025.

By maintaining the accreditation status, SRS analytic laboratory proves its commitment, consistency, and competence to implement ISO 17025 in its activity in the laboratory. Besides, it also means, the laboratory has fulfilled every condition internationally.

It is also hoped to increase the trusts from stakeholders and other sectors. The materials or products to be tested and examined in SRS laboratory analytic are kinds of plants, non-organic fertilizers, groundwater, water from the river, waste, and crude palm oil (CPO).

Head Of Research SSMS, Fizrul Indra Lubis told, the accreditation is one important element to realize reliable quality of infrastructure to increase the competition.
