PalmOilMagazine, JAKARTA – Webinar Ngobrol bareng GAPKI (Indonesian Palm Oil Association/IPOA) in the 21st edition within the theme “Prediksi Iklim 2021 dan Dampaknya bagi Produksi Sawit”, Tuesday, (04/05/2021) was inaugurated by Chairman of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), Joko Supriyono. He thought, the climate change could be managed effectively and efficiently to palm oil plantations in Indonesia to be developed sustainably.
Moderated by Executive Director of IPOA, Mukti Sardjono, there were ideas that it is important to manage the climate in palm oil plantation to support the plantation productivity because the plantations always need climate to develop.
“The good climate would support palm oil plantation development in the future” Mukti said in the opening ceremony of webinar Ngobrol bareng GAPKI, which PalmOilMagazine did join. It is hoped to be better and go forward in the future.
Presenting the speakers from Geophysics, Climatology, and Meteorology Agency, Pusat Penelitian Kelapa Sawit, and Astra Agro Lestari, webinar Ngobrol Bareng GAPKI was part of production prediction of palm oil in 2021 that could be better than it in the previous year. It could be reaching 50%-60% from the previous year. It was told by the speakers in the webinar and summarized by Mukti Sardjono.
In the closing statement, Vice Chairman of IPOA, Susanto Yang did hope that the discussion result could be used as part of the progress in palm oil plantations in Indonesia. “Hopefully, IPOA and palm oil plantations in Indonesia could be better,” he said. (T1)
