Palmoilmagazine, JAKARTA – Palm oil production in October 2021 reached 4.040 thousand tons which were smaller in September 2021 production reaching 4.176 thousand tons. Monthly production trend in the second semester of 2021 was different because by October, there were no significant increasing.
By October 2021, crude palm oil (CPO) production reached 39 million tons and palm kernel oil (PKO) reached 3,7 million tons. From field observation, November and December production could be increasing about 8.580 thousand tons and PKO about 815 thousand tons in total. It means, CPO production of 2021 could be about 47.472 thousand tons and PKO could be about 4.482 thousand tons or total 51.954 thousand tons in total.
“Compared to 2020 CPO production reaching 47 million tons, 2021 CPO production does not significantly increase about 0,93%,”Executive Director of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), Mukti Sardjono said, as in the official statement to Palmoilmagazine, Wednesday (15/12/2021).
While October 2021 domestic consumption reached 1.499 thousand tons, or 24 thousand tons smaller than those in September 2021 that reached 1.475 thousand tons, while by October 2021, domestic consumption reached 15.178 thousand tons. “Domestic palm oil consumption for the last four month was in fluctuation at 1.460 thousand tons/month in total,” Mukti said.
By assuming that November and December consumption reaching 3 million tons, the total 2021 consumption could be about 18.178 thousand tons or slightly increases (+4,8%) from 2020 consumption which reached 17.349 thousand tons. (T2)
