Apart from domestic issue about palm cooking oil and crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivative export ban, Professor Pietro Paganini thought, European Union and the world really need palm oil to fulfill the lack of sunflower oil which cannot be replaced by others, such as, soybean oil, rapeseed oil, and olive oil.
“It has to be admitted, Indonesia develops forward in sustainable palm oil. Indonesia showed the hard work to solve deforestation issues in the last decade,” he said in a seminar with the theme “Dinamika dan Perkembangan Terkini Terkait Minyak Sawit dan Minyak Nabati Lain di Uni Eropa”, Wednesday (11/05)
That is why Professor Pietro Paganini, this is the right moment for Indonesia that becomes the host of G20 Presidency to show to the world that sustainable, healthy, and safe palm oil would be the answer to solve the lack of vegetable oil in the world. (T2)
