Palmoilmagazine, JAKARTA – Analyst of Plantation Counselor Sub Counselor Coordinator at Plantation Agency Riau Province, T Nuranizah Ibrahim SE said, the fund from Palm oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) would be very helpful for the smallholders in Riau considering that the budget is limited that Riau Province allocated.
Nuranizah mentioned, the participants joining mill human resource development in 2021 were enthusiastic for they got knowledge delivered in the development. The smallholders’ children that got scholarship covered 192 students from the registered ones that reached 275 students. While in 2020 there were only 80 students.
“Because of the significant numbers, we thanked PFMA for the fund. Many smallholders’ children joined the program,” Nuranizah said in Webinar and Live Streaming “Dampak Positif Program PSR, Sarpras dan Pengembangan SDM Bagi Petani Sawit” in Jakarta.
In 2022, Nuranizah continued, human resource development to smallholders’ training would be reaching 425 men. In 2021 the participants reached 284 men. They did consist of 75 men from District of Kampar, and 211 men from District of Pelalawan. Other districts need to be more and the smallholders would be more to join (the development program).
Director of Akademi Komunitas Perkebunan Yogyakarta (AKPY), Sri Gunawan said, the facility delivered by PFMA to develop human resource was complete. “Many took advantages and enjoyed the program,” he said.
“I believe, many smallholders’ children who are in study still, or graduated, really enjoyed the program, and so did the regional government, and cooperation where smallholders replanting program takes place within the private plantations as the developers,” he said.
Sri Gunawan thought, the scholarship program should be led to palm oil commodity and the productivity would continuously run. The future challenges would be massive enough about environment and climate change. That is why palm oil human resource should be led to the future challenges. (T2)
