Palmoilmagazine, JAKARTA – The realization of one palm oil plantation in national scale, PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk (TLDN) in the first quarter of 2022 got the net profits up to Rp 295,6 billion or increased 488,2% compared to 2021 in the same period. The income in the first quarter of 2022 reached Rp 836,4 billion or increased 43,9% compared to 2021 in the same period.
Director of PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk, Wishnu Wardhana said that the increasing income in January – March 2022 happened for the increasing crude palm oil (CPO) selling price in average that reached 52,1%. “In the first quarter of 2022, we enjoyed the ‘super cycle’ commodity and encouraged the CPO price,” Wishnu Wardhana said in the Annual Shareholders Meeting, Friday (27/5/2022).
The fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production in the first quarter of 2022 reached 249.152 tons or 17,9% less than it in the same period in last year. The CPO production reached 56.837 tons or 16,2% less than it in 2021. Palm kernel oil reached 9.125 tons or 13,9% less than it in the same period last year.
He continued, these happened for the climate, such as, higher rain intensity that occurred in January – March 2022.
TLDN reported that the rain intensity in its plantation in the first quarter of 2022 reached 301 millimeter (mm), the highest one in the past five years while in the first quarter of 2021, it reached 248 mm only.
Wishnu also mentioned, the company would try to escalate its operational in some things to be realized, such as, the first, escalating the mill capacity to be 335 tons of FFB per hour from the previous one which was 310 tons of FFB per hour. The second, developing biogas plant as part of energy efficiency and sustainability. Besides, the company is investing in palm kernel oil mill to get value added revenue. (T2)
