PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) kicks off 2025 with a remarkable achievement, securing the prestigious Gold PROPER Award for environmental Stewardship from Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).
This honor was awarded to four of its subsidiaries: PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur (SMM), PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri (ANJA), PT Kayung Agro Lestari (KAL), and PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri Siais (ANJAS).
The award was presented by the Minister of Environment, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, at Sasono Langen Budoyo, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, on Monday, February 24. In his speech, he emphasized that the PROPER program and the Green Leadership award serve as motivation for companies to continuously enhance their environmental performance and innovation while setting an example for the industry.

“PROPER not only encourages businesses to improve their environmental management but also fosters collaboration between the government, private sector, and communities in addressing environmental and social challenges. This year, SMM achieved its fifth consecutive Gold PROPER Award, while ANJA secured its fourth in a row. Additionally, KAL and ANJAS earned their first Gold PROPER recognition after previously holding Green PROPER status.
Beyond corporate recognition, ANJ’s President Director, Lucas Kurniawan, was once again honored with the “Green Leadership Utama” award by KLHK, acknowledging his leadership in driving corporate sustainability.
Commitment to Sustainability and Community Development
As an agribusiness company committed to sustainability, ANJ actively contributes to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its Responsible Development (RD) programs. These initiatives focus on economic empowerment, improving education quality, and enhancing access to food and healthcare for surrounding communities.
To support food security, ANJ has implemented sustainable food resilience programs, tailored to the potential of each operational area. In healthcare, the company operates seven primary clinics and five supporting clinics, integrated with Indonesia’s National Health Insurance (JKN) and BPJS Kesehatan programs. Maternal and child healthcare, as well as efforts to combat stunting, remain key priorities.
In education, ANJ supports school development, student character-building programs, learning facility improvements, and teacher training, ensuring access to quality education for future generations.
