PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Over the past five years, Topaz palm oil seedlings have spread across Indonesia’s major plantation hubs. From Lampung, Riau, Jambi, and Aceh, to Kalimantan, West Sulawesi, and Central Sulawesi, Topaz has increasingly gained recognition among farmers as a resilient and profitable superior seed variety.
“Topaz GT seeds were first commercialized in 2018–2019. Today, they are planted not only in our internal estates but also by independent farmers outside our group. Many have already started harvesting, and the results are very encouraging,” said Husen, Marketing Manager of Topaz at Asian Agri, in an interview with Palmoilmagazine.com in Jakarta.
Topaz has earned trust not only for its quality but also for its service commitment. Asian Agri goes beyond simply selling seeds; the company also provides ongoing support throughout the entire planting cycle, from nursery to harvest.
“Farmers who buy directly from us will continue to receive assistance. If there’s any problem, they just need to send a video or call, and we’ll immediately help find solutions. We don’t abandon farmers after the sale,” Husen emphasized.
To access Topaz seeds, farmers need only meet administrative requirements in accordance with the Ministry of Agriculture Decree No. 4/2005. By presenting land ownership documents, a family card, and other supporting paperwork, farmers can purchase Topaz seedlings with a minimum order of 500 seeds.
Husen also stressed the importance of purchasing directly from official sources to avoid fraud and ensure access to after-sales support.
“We strongly recommend buying directly from us. Not only is it safer, but bulk purchases also come with special discounts,” he said.
Asian Agri is also ready to support cooperatives and farmer groups aiming to plant Topaz on a larger scale. Through technical assistance and regular training, the company hopes to empower more independent farmers to build successful and sustainable palm oil plantations.
Behind every Topaz seed lies a bigger mission: promoting sustainable palm oil practices. This ganoderma-tolerant variety not only increases yields but also reduces farmers’ reliance on chemical fungicides—cutting production costs and supporting better environmental health.
This innovation reflects Asian Agri’s long-standing commitment to its Plasma Farmer Partnership Program. As part of the Royal Golden Eagle (RGE) group, the company positions itself not just as a seed producer, but as a strategic partner to farmers in building a sustainable future.
