PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Though crude palm oil (CPO) price is still fluctuative, it is still more than threshold to get CPO levy that the government should get and managed by Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA).
Head of Corporate Division PFMA, Achmad Maulizal Sutawijaya said CPO fund that was collected from January – June 2023 reached Rp 15,44 trillion. “Export levy by June 2023 reached Rp 15,44 trillion,” he said to Palmoilmagazine.com, Friday (7/7/2023).
The distribution realization to smallholders replanting program (SRP) from 2016 until Semester I – 2023 laid about 292.062 hectares or covered 128.304 smallholders. “SRP fund realization reached Rp 8,08 trillion,” Mauli said.

In PFMA performance, Director of PFMA, Eddy Abdurrahman also told, as fund management institution, PFMA confirmed that “from palm oil to palm oil” principle runs in every program. In 2022, the total export levy could be reaching Rp 34,5trillion while the return from the fund performance and management reached Rp 800 billion.
2022 SRP covered 273.666 hectares for 120.168 smallholders and the fund distribution reached Rp 7,52 trillion in 21 provinces in Indonesia.
“The 2022 realization decreased from the previous year. It happened for the terms and conditions to get SRP – should not be in forest areas and peat, and documents about the plantations should not be in business rights – were not completed,” he said.
On the other hand, biodiesel distribution program implemented since 2015 to maintain CPO stable price, encourage energy independency and security nationally, reduce green-house gas (GHG) emission, and save the exchange to diesel import, by 2022, reached 42,98 million kiloliters, and the incentives paid reached Rp 144,59 trillion.
“The government successfully implement biodiesel mandatory program in Covid-19 pandemic and oil price issue took place in the world. In 2022, the government also prepared to implement B35 program,” Eddy said.
Research and development program since 2015 to 2022 reached 279 researches and involved 950 researchers from 78 research and development institutions in Indonesia and PFMA distributed fund up to Rp 501,2 billion. In 2022, PFMA would be more selective to distribute fund for the research that would be potentially in commerce and taken advantages by the industries. (T2)
