PALMOILMAGAZINE, BOGOR – The Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PO PFMA) held a meeting in Bogor to review the progress of the 2016-2030 Indonesia Palm Oil Research Roadmap.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various sectors, including relevant ministries, the PO PFMA Research and Development Committee, smallholders’ associations, stakeholders, and research institutions.
During the opening ceremony, Triana Meinarsih, Division Head of Human Resource Education, Research and Development, and Infrastructure Development at PO PFMA, highlighted the importance of aligning the palm oil research roadmap revision with the National Medium-Term Development Plans, strategic plans of related ministries, and PO PFMA’s internal documents.

She emphasized that the revision should address current challenges and issues across the palm oil industry, from upstream to downstream sectors.
From what Palmoilmagazine.com got, Friday (23/8/2024), during the two day – meeting, the participants listened to the description of two main speakers – DR. Ir. Purwadi, MS, Executive Director of PSKS-INSTIPER, and Petrus Tjandra, Director of PT Agro Investama Group.
In the intensive discussion, the participants discussed roadmap revision draft by focusing on research maps in priority – scale. Research and Development Committee PO PFMA, Prof. Didiek sid that it would need new strategies to expand the research results to be effectively implemented in the fields.
The meeting was closed by Director of Plan and Fund Management PO PFMA, Kabul Wijayanto. He hoped the two day – discussion results would get urgent research needs, such as, the technology to prevent and curation of Ganoderma. He also emphasized it would need to get commerce in research results to get real target and be achievable so the new roadmap would be more flexible and relevant with the future palm oil industrial needs.
