PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – On September 3, 2024, the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PO PFMA) held a virtual sharing session and evaluation meeting on the development of human resources in the palm oil sector. This event, conducted online from Jakarta, was part of the roadmap supporting the third phase of sustainable palm oil development (2022-2029) and followed a similar event in Yogyakarta from July 16-18, 2024.

Triana Meinarsih, Head of Infrastructure Development, Research and Development, and Human Resource Education at PO PFMA, opened the session by discussing the importance of revising the human resource development roadmap for 2019-2029. She highlighted the need to update the programs to reflect recent advancements and changing regulations, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.

The main speaker in the session was Director of Politeknik Kelapa Sawit CWE, Ir. St. Nugroho Kristono, MT; who was also the I Chairman of Asosiasi Lembaga Pendidikan Kelapa Sawit Nasional Indonesia (ALPENSI). Nugroho discussed about PO PFMA roadmap implementation in human resource development and recommended to follow up the monitoring and evaluation in human resource, counselors, development and facilities.

The session was about to get inputs from many stakeholders about human resource development roadmap to enrich the revision formulation and PO PFMA would deliver better supports to increase human resource competency in palm oil plantations in the future. (P2)
