PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — KOLTIVA, a Swiss–Indonesian AgriTech company operating in 94 countries and supporting more than 19,000 businesses worldwide, has introduced an artificial intelligence–driven traceability initiative aimed at transforming global agribusiness supply chains.
The first pilot project will be implemented with SUGATA PTE. LTD in Aceh, marking the region’s first AI-enabled traceability model focused on responsible sourcing. The initiative is part of AIAP for Industry, spearheaded by AI Singapore, and signals a strategic shift toward intelligent, data-driven supply chain governance.
The collaboration comes amid tightening global regulations, including the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), as well as Europe’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).

By embedding world-class AI capabilities into its digital ecosystem, KOLTIVA is accelerating the development of advanced traceability and sustainability intelligence solutions. Leveraging AI Singapore’s technical framework, the project integrates intelligent systems across every stage of the supply chain—from sustainability analytics and risk resilience to field operations and inclusive financing mechanisms.
Joe Keen Poon, Executive Chairman of KOLTIVA, emphasized the strategic value of the collaboration:
“As a global company, we are proud to evolve our technology within AI Singapore’s world-class ecosystem. By leveraging Singapore’s AI leadership, we empower farmers in 94 countries to navigate complex global regulations through truly intelligent, data-driven supply chains.”

He added that global supply chains are under unprecedented strain—from tightening compliance frameworks and growing consumer demand for transparency to the urgent need for smallholder inclusion.
“AI-powered traceability is no longer optional. It is the catalyst for building inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems. Our collaboration with SUGATA and AI Singapore is a decisive step toward making global supply chains not just transparent, but genuinely intelligent.”
From Reactive Compliance to Predictive Sustainability
At the heart of the initiative lies AI-driven Sustainability and Risk Resilience. Predictive intelligence tools enhance how agribusinesses measure and manage environmental and social performance. By integrating advanced analytics and automated reporting into the KoltiTrace ecosystem, the platform enables real-time monitoring of climate risks, crop yields, and regulatory compliance.
AI-powered sustainability reports, continuous data verification, and automated ESG documentation allow companies and investors to shift from reactive compliance toward proactive, data-backed climate action.

The application of AI in field operations further strengthens project implementation. Intelligent advisory systems provide agronomists and project managers with real-time insights—ranging from profitability analytics and contract intelligence to risk-tracking dashboards—ensuring that field interventions are both data-driven and impact-oriented.
Laurence Liew, Director of AI Innovation at AI Singapore, highlighted the broader ambition: “Through AIAP for Industry, we are pleased to partner with Kudeungo Sugata and Koltiva to advance AI solutions that strengthen sustainability and resilience across agribusiness supply chains. This collaboration reflects our commitment to delivering industry-ready innovation while nurturing local AI engineering talent.”
Empowering Responsible Sourcing in Indonesia
As KOLTIVA’s first client to pilot the AI solution in Indonesia’s cocoa and coffee procurement operations, SUGATA integrates comprehensive farm mapping, farmer training and mentorship programs, and premium payment schemes tied to sustainable practices.
Furqonudin Ramadhani, CTO and Co-Founder of KOLTIVA, underscored the technical priorities of the platform:
“We are co-developing an AI-powered Sustainability and Compliance Reporting platform with integrated data quality monitoring. The system automates reporting processes, replacing manual workflows with fast, accurate ESG and due diligence documentation aligned with global standards. AI will continuously monitor and validate cross-system data, detect anomalies, and ensure the integrity of both field and transaction data.”
This initiative positions KOLTIVA at the forefront of global AgriTech innovation—demonstrating that artificial intelligence can do more than digitize supply chains. It can build trust, strengthen resilience, and most importantly, ensure that smallholder farmers are not left behind in the transition toward transparent and sustainable global food systems.
