Riau Independent Smallholder FFB Prices Rise IDR 44.33/Kg, 9-Year-Old Palms Reach IDR 3,878.72

PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent smallholders in Riau Province strengthened again for the August 26–September 1, 2026 pricing period.

Based on the decision of the Riau Provincial Oil Palm FFB Price Determination Team, the FFB price for independent smallholders with 9-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,878.72/kg, up IDR 44.33/kg from IDR 3,834.39/kg in the previous period.

The new price applies from Wednesday, August 26, through Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

FFB prices are calculated using several components, including the price of crude palm oil (CPO), palm kernels, the K Index, and palm shell values, in accordance with the applicable pricing formula.

The following are the Riau FFB prices for independent smallholders for August 26–September 1, 2026:

  • 3 years: IDR 2,998.31/kg
  • 4 years: IDR 3,347.20/kg
  • 5 years: IDR 3,595.38/kg
  • 6 years: IDR 3,734.94/kg
  • 7 years: IDR 3,818.86/kg
  • 8 years: IDR 3,865.46/kg
  • 9 years: IDR 3,878.72/kg
  • 10–20 years: IDR 3,836.93/kg
  • 21 years: IDR 3,770.94/kg
  • 22 years: IDR 3,695.31/kg
  • 23 years: IDR 3,609.33/kg
  • 24 years: IDR 3,544.29/kg
  • 25 years: IDR 3,490.84/kg
  • 26 years: IDR 3,471.62/kg
  • 27 years: IDR 3,441.82/kg
  • 28 years: IDR 3,385.41/kg
  • 29 years: IDR 3,344.02/kg
  • 30 years: IDR 3,249.41/kg

Nine-Year-Old Palms Record Highest Price

The 9-year-old palm category recorded the highest FFB price among Riau’s independent smallholders during this period, at IDR 3,878.72/kg.

The price was slightly higher than the rate for 8-year-old palms, which stood at IDR 3,865.46/kg, and the IDR 3,836.93/kg price set for palms aged 10–20 years.

The increase in FFB prices was supported by changes in the underlying pricing components. The CPO price used in the latest calculation was set at IDR 15,837.47/kg, while the palm kernel price reached IDR 13,313.30/kg.

Meanwhile, the K Index stood at 93.34%. The palm shell price was set at IDR 24.76/kg and was also incorporated into the FFB pricing formula. (P3)
