Riau Plasma FFB Prices Rise, 9-Year-Old Palms Reach IDR 3,945.62/Kg

PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for plasma smallholders in Riau Province strengthened for the August 26–September 1, 2026 pricing period.

Under Riau’s Plasma Partnership FFB Price Determination No. 31, the FFB price for 9-year-old oil palms was set at IDR 3,945.62/kg, an increase of IDR 61.52/kg from IDR 3,884.10/kg in the previous period.

The new price was established by the Riau Provincial Plasma Partnership FFB Price Determination Team and applies from Wednesday, August 26, through Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

CPO Price Supports FFB Increase

The increase in Riau’s plasma FFB prices was supported by higher average crude palm oil (CPO) prices, one of the key components used in the pricing formula.

The average KPBN CPO price used for the latest calculation was set at IDR 15,880.00/kg. Meanwhile, the average KPBN palm kernel price stood at IDR 13,180.00/kg.

The palm shell price was set at IDR 17.98/kg, while the K Index stood at 93.51%.

Based on the latest determination, Riau’s plasma FFB prices for August 26–September 1, 2026, are as follows:

  • 3 years: IDR 3,036.62/kg
  • 4 years: IDR 3,446.30/kg
  • 5 years: IDR 3,653.78/kg
  • 6 years: IDR 3,813.61/kg
  • 7 years: IDR 3,895.39/kg
  • 8 years: IDR 3,941.50/kg
  • 9 years: IDR 3,945.62/kg
  • 10–20 years: IDR 3,924.11/kg
  • 21 years: IDR 3,861.91/kg
  • 22 years: IDR 3,802.15/kg
  • 23 years: IDR 3,738.46/kg
  • 24 years: IDR 3,668.59/kg
  • 25 years: IDR 3,590.10/kg
  • 26 years: IDR 3,542.45/kg
  • 27 years: IDR 3,494.54/kg
  • 28 years: IDR 3,447.85/kg
  • 29 years: IDR 3,430.08/kg
  • 30 years: IDR 3,415.27/kg

Nine-Year-Old Palms Record Highest Price

The 9-year-old palm category recorded the highest FFB price during the latest pricing period at IDR 3,945.62/kg.

It was followed closely by 8-year-old palms at IDR 3,941.50/kg, while palms aged 10–20 years were priced at IDR 3,924.11/kg.

For plasma smallholders, the IDR 61.52/kg increase in the 9-year-old palm category represents a positive development compared with the previous pricing period.

Changes in CPO and palm kernel prices, together with a 93.51% K Index, were among the key parameters determining the latest FFB prices.

The new rates serve as the official reference for plasma oil palm smallholders in Riau Province throughout the August 26–September 1, 2026 pricing period. (P3)
