“We are proud to be included once again in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500. It’s not just about numbers—it’s a recognition of responsible business governance, grounded in innovation, collaboration with farmers, and the application of sustainable practices,” said Michael Kesuma, Head of Investor Relations, in an official statement received by Palmoilmagazine.com on Thursday (June 26, 2025).
He added that this recognition also reflects market trust in a palm oil industry that is managed transparently and inclusively.
“We believe the future of Indonesian agribusiness lies in the synergy between productivity and sustainability. That’s why we continue to strengthen our supply chains, build partnerships with independent smallholders, and ensure compliance with international standards,” Kesuma noted.
As part of its ongoing transformation into a world-class agribusiness, Bumitama actively participates in various certification and environmental conservation initiatives. Its commitment is demonstrated by the management of conservation areas within its concessions and by increasing productivity without expanding land use—an approach that aligns with rising global expectations for responsible and eco-friendly agricultural practices.
Bumitama’s continued presence on the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list not only affirms its financial excellence but also reinforces its strategic role in supporting inclusive and sustainable economic development in Indonesia. (P2)
