PALMOILMAGAZINE, TANJUNG SELOR – Oil palm smallholders in North Kalimantan welcomed some relief in mid-September 2025 as the price of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) showed an upward trend. According to the official Price Determination Decree issued on September 18, 2025, palm oil prices recorded an increase.

For plantations with trees over 10 years old, FFB prices rose by Rp 72.16 per kilogram, bringing the rate to Rp 3,079.89/kg. This adjustment offers renewed optimism for growers who have faced market fluctuations in recent months.

In addition to FFB, derivative products were also priced. Crude Palm Oil (CPO) was set at Rp 13,859.10/kg, while palm kernel stood at Rp 11,998.20/kg, with a K Index recorded at 86.45%.

Based on data from the North Kalimantan Provincial Agriculture and Food Security Office, here are the official FFB prices for September 2025:

  • Age 3 years: Rp 2,765.17/kg
  • Age 4 years: Rp 2,837.67/kg
  • Age 5 years: Rp 2,892.33/kg
  • Age 6 years: Rp 2,953.24/kg
  • Age 7 years: Rp 2,982.93/kg
  • Age 8 years: Rp 3,003.04/kg
  • Age 9 years: Rp 3,024.35/kg
  • Age 10–20 years: Rp 3,079.89/kg. (P3)
