Astra Agro Lestari has secured membership in the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) after completing a two-year due diligence and public consultation process, marking a key step toward full RSPO certification.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — Astra Agro Lestari (AAL) has officially been granted membership in the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), following a two-year process of engagement, assessment and due diligence that paves the way for the company to pursue full RSPO certification.
As published in an official statement, the membership follows AAL’s confirmation more than two years ago of its intention to formally join the RSPO and undergo the organization’s membership assessment process. The company subsequently completed the required process and submitted the final components for RSPO review earlier this year.

The RSPO then opened a mandatory period of public consultation before confirming AAL’s membership.

“We welcome Astra Agro Lestari as the latest member of the RSPO global partnership,” D’Cruz said. “This milestone is the culmination of two years of close engagement, rigorous assessment, and comprehensive consultation.”

“With membership, we commit now to playing a full role in the RSPO and working with our peers and stakeholders,” he said.
