PALMOILMAGAZINE, SOUTH ACEH — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices in South Aceh continue to move upward. Over the past two days, prices at the mill level have climbed by IDR 60 per kilogram, bringing the current rate to IDR 3,120 per kilogram.
Edi Bancin, a purchasing officer at PT Aceh Trumon Anugrah Kita (ATAK) in East Trumon, confirmed the upward trend.
“Today we’re buying at IDR 3,120 per kilogram. The price has gone up by IDR 60 over the last two days,” he told Palmoilmagazine.com on Tuesday (Sept 30, 2025).

The increase at the mill level has also pushed up prices at the middlemen (RAM) level. Teuku Heru Zulfikar, owner of CV Lamkuta Bersaudara Group in Trumon District, said FFB prices there have reached IDR 2,850 per kilogram.
“This is good news for palm oil farmers in South Aceh. Hopefully, prices will continue to rise,” he said.
On the international market, crude palm oil (CPO) prices also strengthened. PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) set the Franco Dumai CPO price at IDR 14,678 per kilogram, up IDR 78 or 0.53 percent.
However, Teuku Heru reminded farmers to maintain harvest quality.
“Palms must be harvested at the right maturity — no unripe fruit or contamination. With good quality, mills will gladly buy at higher prices,” he concluded. (T2)
