Riau’s fresh fruit bunch price for independent partner smallholders rose for Sept. 9–15, 2026, supported by an average CPO price of IDR 15,972.25/kg and a K Index of 93.34%.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU — The purchase price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from independent partner smallholders in Indonesia’s Riau province increased for the Sept. 9–15, 2026 period, with the highest price for nine-year-old palms set at IDR 3,943.46 per kg.
The price rose IDR 64.62 per kg from IDR 3,878.84/kg in the previous pricing period, according to the Minutes of Meeting on the Determination of FFB Purchase Prices for Riau Independent Partner Smallholders, No. 33/TBS-TR/IX-2026, dated Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026.

The latest adjustment reflects changes in the formula used by the Riau Provincial Palm Oil FFB Pricing Team, with prices varying according to palm age.
The average crude palm oil (CPO) price used in the calculation was IDR 15,972.25/kg, while the average palm kernel price stood at IDR 14,068.16/kg.
The K Index, another key component in the FFB pricing formula, was set at 93.34%. The shell value was recorded at IDR 24.76/kg.

Nine-year-old palms recorded the highest FFB price at IDR 3,943.46/kg, followed by eight-year-old palms at IDR 3,928.95/kg and palms aged 10–20 years at IDR 3,901.79/kg.
At the lower end of the range, the FFB price for three-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,050.87/kg, the lowest price among the age categories covered by the latest determination.
The latest pricing formula incorporates the average CPO price of IDR 15,972.25/kg, the average palm kernel price of IDR 14,068.16/kg and a K Index of 93.34%. The resulting prices serve as the official reference for FFB purchases from Riau’s independent partner smallholders during the one-week period.

Field-Level Prices May Differ
The FFB prices determined by the Riau Provincial Palm Oil FFB Pricing Team serve as reference prices based on the regional government’s pricing formula. Actual prices received by smallholders at the farm or mill level may differ.
Differences can result from individual company or palm oil mill (POM) policies, fruit quality, plantation location and transaction conditions between smallholders and buyers.
