According to KPBN Inacom data obtained by PalmOilMagazine, the CPO tender at Franco Dumai opened at IDR 15,100/kg before ending in a WD result, with the highest bid at IDR 15,018/kg.

Other KPBN indications included IDR 14,850/kg for CPO on an FOB Talang Duku basis and IDR 14,900/kg at Franco Teluk Bayur. In West Kalimantan, CPO bids were recorded at IDR 14,725/kg for Loco PKS Ngabang and IDR 14,600/kg for Loco PKS Kembayan.

The weaker KPBN tender prices came as CPO futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives also declined, reflecting continued concerns over Malaysian palm oil inventories, expectations for relatively strong production and uncertainty over export demand.

According to Bernama, Bursa Malaysia CPO futures closed lower across the board on Monday, with losses of around RM28–RM29 per metric ton across several key contracts through April 2027.

The November 2026 contract fell RM29 to RM4,558 per ton, while the December 2026 contract declined RM29 to RM4,704 per ton. The January 2027 contract also dropped RM29 to RM4,789 per ton.

Market sentiment remained under pressure amid expectations that Malaysia’s palm oil inventories could rise toward the end of October. While export demand has shown signs of improvement, expectations of sustained production have kept traders focused on the balance between supply and demand.

The combination of elevated inventories and firm production expectations could continue to limit upside potential for CPO prices in the near term, although stronger exports remain an important counterweight to the bearish supply outlook.
