PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Mahindra Farm Equipment (FE), through RMA Indonesia, has reinforced its commitment to advancing Indonesia’s agricultural modernization by introducing the Mahindra OJA 3140 compact tractor at Inagritech 2026. The 40-horsepower tractor is designed to help farmers improve productivity while accelerating the adoption of mechanized farming across the country.
As Indonesia faces rising food demand and a shrinking agricultural workforce, mechanization is increasingly viewed as a critical solution to enhance farming efficiency, boost productivity, and strengthen the competitiveness of the national agricultural sector.
The Mahindra OJA 3140 is engineered to support a wide range of farming operations, including land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, and on-farm transportation and logistics.

The product launch also underscores Mahindra and RMA Indonesia’s commitment to supporting one of Indonesia’s key economic sectors. According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS), agriculture contributed 12.67% to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2026, highlighting the need for greater investment in agricultural technology and mechanization.
Speaking at the launch event attended by PalmOilMagazine.com on Tuesday (July 28), Toto Suharto, Country Manager of RMA Indonesia, said improving food security requires more than hard work—it also depends on access to the right technology.
“Food security requires not only dedication but also the right technology. We believe mechanization is no longer an option, but a necessity to help farmers improve productivity, efficiency, and the sustainability of their farming operations. Through the Mahindra OJA 3140, we aim to deliver a solution that truly meets the needs of Indonesian farmers,” he said.

The Mahindra OJA 3140 is powered by a 29.5 kW (40 HP) engine and features a Synchro Shuttle transmission with eight forward and eight reverse gears, a four-wheel-drive (4WD) system, 370 mm of ground clearance, and a hydraulic lifting capacity of up to 950 kilograms.
The tractor is paired with the Mahindra Paddyvator V6 rotary tiller, offering a 1,700 mm working width to deliver strong performance across various field conditions. The combination of power, traction, and precision is designed to maximize field efficiency while maintaining fuel economy and ease of operation.
Despite its compact dimensions, the OJA 3140 is intended to provide high performance for small- and medium-scale farmers seeking modern agricultural equipment with lower operating costs.
Toto added that the introduction of the OJA 3140 marks the beginning of the company’s long-term commitment to Indonesia’s agricultural transformation.
“Going forward, we will continue introducing innovative products, expanding our distribution network, and strengthening after-sales services to provide Indonesian farmers with comprehensive agricultural solutions,” he said.
