The CPO prices at the Malaysia Exchange also experienced an increase. CPO contract prices at the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose for the second consecutive session on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023. This increase was attributed to growing export data and higher crude oil prices, despite the rise in the Malaysian ringgit, which somewhat limited the price surge.
According to Reuters, the reference contract for CPO with the code FCPOc3, scheduled for delivery in January 2024 at the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange, increased by RM 10 per ton, equivalent to about 0.2%, reaching RM 3,697 (approximately US$ 778.64) per metric ton in the morning session.
