CPO Price at KPBN Decreases by 0.31% on Wednesday (24/4), Mirroring Malaysia’s Decline

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – On Wednesday (24/4/2024), the tender price for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom stood at Rp 12,325/kg, marking a decrease of Rp 38/kg or approximately 0.31% compared to the previous Tuesday’s tender, which was Rp 12,363/kg.

According to Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN, CPO Franco Belawan was priced at Rp 12,325/kg, while CPO in Teluk Bayur was at Rp 12,195/kg but was withdrawn (WD) with the highest bid at Rp 12,043/kg. Additionally, CPO in Kembayan was at Rp 11,975/kg but was withdrawn with the highest bid at Rp 6,500/kg. Crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) in Lampung was priced at Rp 15,817/kg but was withdrawn with the highest bid at Rp 10,001/kg.

At the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange, the CPO price experienced a decline on Wednesday (24/4/2024), alongside soyoil and crude oil, compounded by the appreciation of the ringgit, which posed challenges for investors.

As reported by Reuters, the reference contract price for CPO (FCPOc3) for July 2024 delivery at the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange decreased by RM 28 per ton, equivalent to approximately 0.71%, settling at RM 3,943 (US$ 825.76) per metric ton.

Meanwhile, at the Dalian exchange, soyoil contract prices (DBYcv1) increased by 0.92%, and CPO contract prices (DCPcv1) increased by 0.86%. Conversely, soyoil prices at the Chicago Board of Trade (BOcv1) decreased by 0.59%.
