PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) price at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was withdrawn (WD) on Friday, May 2, 2025, with the highest bid recorded at IDR 13,707/kg. This marks a 1.39% drop or a decrease of around IDR 193/kg compared to the CPO price on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, which stood at IDR 13,900/kg.
According to information received by Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN, the CPO Franco Kuala Tanjung price opened at IDR 13,891/kg but was withdrawn, with the highest bid at IDR 13,707/kg. Similarly, the CPO Franco Belawan price also opened at IDR 13,891/kg and was withdrawn, with the highest bid at IDR 13,615/kg.
Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, palm oil futures on the Malaysian exchange edged slightly higher on Friday (May 2, 2025), after three consecutive sessions of decline. The rise was supported by stronger soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade and firmer crude oil prices. However, gains were capped due to a stronger ringgit and weak demand from key markets.

The benchmark palm oil contract for July 2025 delivery (FCPOc3) on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose by 0.41% to RM 3,927 (US$914.53) per metric ton at midday break. Nonetheless, the contract has seen a weekly decline of 3.6%.
Soybean oil futures on the Chicago Board of Trade (BOcv1) rose by 0.7%. Meanwhile, the Dalian Commodity Exchange remains closed from May 1 to May 5 for the Labor Day holiday.
