PALMOILMAGAZINE, PONTIANAK – The decline in the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of oil palm in West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) is a major concern at the end of 2024.
Based on the results of the West Kalimantan Provincial FFB price determination team, the price of 10-20 year old oil palm fell by Rp 157.52/Kg, to Rp 3,411.69/ Kg for payment for the period December 22-31, 2024.
This decline has a direct impact on farmers’ income, especially amid rising production costs and fluctuations in global commodity prices. Here are the details of the price of palm oil FFB obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com from the Plantation Agency of West Kalimantan:
- FFB of 3-year old oil palm: IDR 2,551.07/Kg
- FFB of 4-year old palm oil: IDR 2,725.95/Kg
- 5-year old oil palm FFB: IDR 2,911.44/Kg
- 6-year old oil palm FFB: IDR 3,002.82/Kg
- 7-year old oil palm FFB: IDR 3,112.26/Kg
- 8-year old oil palm FFB: IDR 3,209.23/Kg
- 9-year old oil palm FFB: IDR 3,262.55/Kg
- 21 year old oil palm FFB: IDR 3,352.90/Kg
- 25-year old oil palm FFB: IDR 3,048.37/Kg
The price of crude palm oil (CPO) was set at IDR 14,568.11/Kg, palm kernel oil (CPKO) at IDR 11,406.46/Kg, and with K index at 92.00%. (P3)
