PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent oil palm smallholders in Riau, Indonesia, declined for the Aug. 12-18, 2026 period. The benchmark price for FFB from nine-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,874.89 per kg, down IDR 61.74 per kg from IDR 3,936.63 per kg in the previous period.
The latest prices were determined by the Riau Provincial FFB Pricing Committee for independent smallholders, as outlined in Official Minutes No. 29/TBS-VIII/2026.
The decision was made at a committee meeting held on Aug. 11, 2026. The calculation was based on realized crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel sales prices for the Aug. 3-9 period, using data submitted by nine partner companies.

Among the age categories, the highest FFB price was recorded for nine-year-old palms at IDR 3,874.89 per kg. Meanwhile, FFB from oil palms aged between 10 and 20 years was priced at IDR 3,834.67 per kg.

The weighted-average CPO price used in the calculation for the Aug. 3-9 sales period was set at IDR 15,735.77 per kg, while the weighted-average palm kernel price stood at IDR 14,443.32 per kg.
Meanwhile, the shell value used in the pricing formula was IDR 24.45 per kg, with a K index of 92.40%. The shell value has been incorporated into the FFB pricing calculation in accordance with the applicable regulations in Riau.
Following the latest correction, the Riau Provincial FFB Pricing Committee is scheduled to hold its next meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, to determine prices for the Aug. 19-25, 2026 period. (P3)
