PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for plasma oil palm smallholders in Riau, Indonesia, declined for the Aug. 12-18, 2026 period. The price for FFB from nine-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,941.29 per kg, down IDR 70.53 per kg from IDR 4,011.82 per kg in the previous period.
The price was determined under the Riau Plasma Smallholder FFB Purchase Price Committee’s Resolution No. 29/TBS-PM/VIII/2026, based on a meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The calculation used CPO and palm kernel prices recorded during the Aug. 3-9 sales period, with data submitted by 24 partner companies.

The committee will meet again on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 9:30 a.m. local time to determine FFB prices for the Aug. 19-25 period.
For the latest period, FFB from 10-20-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,920.32 per kg. The highest price among the age categories was recorded for nine-year-old palms at IDR 3,941.29 per kg.

- 3-year-old palms: IDR 3,038.52/kg
- 4-year-old palms: IDR 3,443.74/kg
- 5-year-old palms: IDR 3,649.58/kg
- 6-year-old palms: IDR 3,808.46/kg
- 7-year-old palms: IDR 3,890.63/kg
- 8-year-old palms: IDR 3,936.60/kg
- 9-year-old palms: IDR 3,941.29/kg
- 10-20-year-old palms: IDR 3,920.32/kg

The weighted-average CPO price used in the calculation was IDR 15,659.31 per kg, while the weighted-average palm kernel price stood at IDR 13,885.58 per kg.
The shell value was set at IDR 18.27 per kg, with a K index of 93.39%. The shell component was incorporated into the FFB pricing formula in accordance with regulations applicable in Riau.
The latest adjustment means plasma smallholders in Riau will receive lower official FFB prices this week, with the decline reflecting changes in the underlying CPO and palm kernel price components used in the provincial pricing formula. (P3)
