Riau’s plasma oil palm FFB price rose for Aug. 5–11, 2026, with nine-year-old palms reaching IDR 4,011.82/kg, supported by a CPO reference price of IDR 15,709.74/kg.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU — The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from plasma oil palm plantations in Riau rose by IDR 26.56 per kilogram for Aug. 5–11, 2026, with the price for nine-year-old palms reaching IDR 4,011.82/kg, according to data obtained by PalmOilMagazine from the Riau Provincial Plantation Agency.
The price was set by the Riau Provincial FFB Price Determination Team under Decision No. 28 for the Aug. 5–11 period, with increases recorded across various oil palm age groups.

The data showed that FFB from three-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,099.41/kg, while four-year-old palms reached IDR 3,506.85/kg. Prices for five- and six-year-old palms were set at IDR 3,714.61/kg and IDR 3,875.37/kg, respectively.
The price for seven-year-old palms stood at IDR 3,959.63/kg, while eight-year-old palms reached IDR 4,006.32/kg. The highest price among the main productive age groups was recorded for nine-year-old palms at IDR 4,011.82/kg.
For palms aged 10–20 years, the FFB price was set at IDR 3,991.13/kg.

Prices gradually declined for older plantations. FFB from 21-year-old palms was priced at IDR 3,929.51/kg, while 22- and 23-year-old palms were set at IDR 3,870.72/kg and IDR 3,807.63/kg, respectively.
Meanwhile, the price for 24-year-old palms reached IDR 3,738.63/kg, while 25-year-old palms were priced at IDR 3,660.87/kg.
For palms aged 26–30 years, the respective FFB prices were IDR 3,613.87/kg, IDR 3,566.82/kg, IDR 3,521.18/kg, IDR 3,503.58/kg and IDR 3,488.90/kg..

Under the pricing formula for the period, the crude palm oil (CPO) reference price was set at IDR 15,709.74/kg. The palm kernel price stood at IDR 15,153.14/kg, while the shell value was set at IDR 18.27/kg.
The pricing team also applied a K index of 93.39% in calculating the Riau plasma FFB price.
The latest increase keeps FFB prices for productive-age oil palms in Riau around the IDR 4,000/kg level, supporting plasma smallholder incomes as CPO prices remain relatively high. (P3)
