PALMOILMAGAZINE, SAMARINDA — The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from oil palm smallholders in East Kalimantan increased during the first half of August 2026, according to the province’s FFB pricing committee.
For oil palms aged 10–20 years, the FFB price was set at IDR 3,561.69/kg for the August 1–15 period, up IDR 33.58/kg from IDR 3,528.11/kg in the previous pricing period.
The price determination was stipulated in Official Record No. 500.10.6.3/557/Disbun/2026 concerning the purchase price of FFB from partner smallholders in East Kalimantan. The pricing meeting was held on August 13, 2026, based on data and information submitted by plantation companies participating in the provincial pricing committee.

According to the East Kalimantan Plantation Agency’s pricing decision, FFB from three-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,127.56/kg, while four-year-old palms were priced at IDR 3,227.21/kg. The price for five-year-old palms stood at IDR 3,316.48/kg, followed by IDR 3,389.18/kg for six-year-old palms, IDR 3,438.10/kg for seven-year-old palms and IDR 3,493.65/kg for eight-year-old palms.
FFB from nine-year-old palms was priced at IDR 3,536.40/kg, while the highest rate for the 10–20-year age group reached IDR 3,561.69/kg.
For older plantations, the FFB price was set at IDR 3,510.05/kg for 21-year-old palms, IDR 3,439.58/kg for 22-year-old palms, IDR 3,363.55/kg for 23-year-old palms, IDR 3,325.61/kg for 24-year-old palms and IDR 3,294.44/kg for 25-year-old palms.

The pricing calculation used a weighted-average crude palm oil (CPO) price of IDR 15,230.55/kg and a weighted-average palm kernel price of IDR 13,521.48/kg. The K index, which represents the portion of the plantation product value allocated to FFB producers under the pricing formula, was set at 88.97%.
The prices apply to plasma and independent smallholder plantations that have established partnerships in accordance with Agriculture Ministry Regulation No. 13/2024.

The decision is effective for FFB sales conducted from August 1 through August 15, 2026. (P3)
