PALMOILMAGAZINE, PONTIANAK – PT Kayung Agro Lestari (KAL), a subsidiary of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) operating in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan Province, was awarded the PROPER Hijau certificate for the 2022/2023 period.
The certificate was presented by Harry Ronaldi Mahaputrawan, Head of the Economic Bureau of West Kalimantan Province representing the West Kalimantan Environment Agency, to Supriatin of KAL at the Garuda Hall of the West Kalimantan Governor’s Office on June 6, 2024.
Harry Ronaldi Mahaputrawan inaugurated the ceremony and distributed certificates to several companies recognized under PROPER in the province. Alongside the certificate presentation, the West Kalimantan Environment Agency conducted a socialization session on PROPER for 2024.

During his address, Harry Ronaldi Mahaputrawan emphasized that PROPER serves as evidence of companies’ commitment to environmental conservation and natural preservation efforts.
“West Kalimantan plays important roles to conserve natural conservation and environment nationally and globally. The ranks of the companies in this province keep increasing. Many companies got gold rank. The prior companies that got red or blue categories, now got green rank,” he said, as in the official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com, Saturday (15/6/2024).
The event was also attended by the officials from West Kalimantan Province and representatives of many companies in the province.
General Manager KAL, Dadi said that PROPER Hijau was the second time for the company. This would be the real evidence of commitment of the company to realize environment sustainably and positively contribute to the people. “We thank the supports from the regional government for the award,” Dadi said.
Green level means that a company reached beyond compliance. The company fulfilled not only about environment regulation but also delivered additional values to take care of natural resource, energy conservation, and people’s development.
“The dedication of the company in sustainable practices and people’s empowerment is realized by the programs that had been realized. This showed the proactive commitment of the company to implement environmental and social responsibility, and maintain the harmonious relationship with other stakeholders,” Dadi said. (T2)
