PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – PTPN Group continues to implement strategic initiatives to support sustainability principles. One of the company’s key focuses is environmental management, where PTPN actively promotes eco-friendly plantation practices, including palm oil waste management and the use of renewable energy.
A concrete step taken is the utilization of biogas from palm oil mill waste (PKS) as an alternative energy source, which has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, PTPN is involved in reforestation and agroforestry programs to restore ecological functions in less productive lands.
Mohammad Abdul Ghani, President Director of Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero), highlighted that in terms of efficiency and innovation, PTPN Group has adopted digital technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) in its plantation management system.
