PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero), formerly known as PT Indra Karya (Persero), is making waves in Indonesia’s palm oil sector. Transitioning into a palm oil-focused company, Agrinas has been tasked by the government to accelerate food and energy self-sufficiency through sustainable plantation management.
As part of its strategy, PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara has partnered with PTPN IV PalmCo, a subsidiary of PTPN III’s Plantation Sub Holding. This collaboration aims to manage palm oil plantations across Indonesia while supporting government policies on B40 and B50 biodiesel implementation to boost palm oil utilization in the energy sector.
Jatmiko Santosa, President Director of PTPN IV PalmCo, emphasized Agrinas’ potential to become a leader in the global palm oil industry. “Agrinas has the capacity to manage palm plantations with environmentally friendly cultivation standards. With sustainable practices, we believe Agrinas can enhance crude palm oil (CPO) productivity, which is highly essential,” Jatmiko stated in an official release received by Palmoilmagazine.com on Wednesday (March 5, 2025).

Increasing CPO production is crucial to meeting food and energy demands, particularly with the rising need for palm oil in oleochemicals and cooking oil. As the world’s largest palm oil producer, Indonesia continues to implement high-standard plantation management to cater to both domestic and global markets.
Meanwhile, Agus Sutomo, President Director of PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara, expressed his appreciation for PTPN IV PalmCo’s support in the company’s transformation process.
“We are committed to developing productive and sustainable palm plantations that contribute to the well-being of the Indonesian people,” Agus stated.
With this transformation, Agrinas Palma Nusantara is expected to play a key role in strengthening Indonesia’s palm oil industry while supporting the country’s goals for food and energy security through palm oil-based solutions. (P2)
