PALMOILMAGAZINE, BOGOR – In order to support President Prabowo’s food self-sufficiency program, PTPN Holding encourages the availability of upland rice fields to be carried out by all national oil palm plantation companies. According to him, the existence of upland rice fields can support the availability of rice for national food self-sufficiency.

The President Director of PTPTN Holding, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Ghani, said that the availability of paddy fields for upland rice does not only come from the Smallholders Replanting Program (SRP) alone. Rather, it can be extended to national oil palm plantation companies that also carry out replanting of their oil palm plants. This effort needs to be made to ensure the availability of land for upland rice paddies.

Furthermore, the provision of fertilizers can be encouraged from the availability of national fertilizers.
