Palm Oil Magazine - KPBN Inacom CPO Price Rises 0.45% on Wednesday (March 19), Malaysian Palm Oil Market Strengthens

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was set at IDR 15,118/kg on Wednesday (March 19, 2025), marking a 0.45% increase or approximately IDR 68/kg compared to IDR 15,050/kg on Tuesday (March 18, 2025).

According to information from KPBN, the CPO Franco Belawan & Dumai price was set at IDR 15,050/kg. Meanwhile, Loco Sei Tapung opened at IDR 14,811/kg, but was withdrawn (WD) after the highest bid reached IDR 14,424/kg.

As reported by Reuters, Malaysian palm oil futures continued their upward trend on Wednesday (March 19, 2025), supported by stronger vegetable oil prices on the Dalian Exchange and Indonesia’s decision to raise its palm oil export levy.

The benchmark palm oil contract (FCPOc3) for June 2025 delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange increased by RM 50 per ton or 1.15%, reaching RM 4,416 (US$ 996.84) per metric ton at the mid-day break.

Indonesia announced plans to raise its palm oil export levy by 4.5%–10% based on the reference price of crude palm oil, increasing the rate from 3%–7.5%, to fund its mandatory biodiesel program.

Meanwhile, Malaysia maintained its crude palm oil export tax at 10% for April while raising its reference price, as stated in an official notice on its government website on Wednesday.
