“This initiative is part of the 2025 Human Resource Development Program for Oil Palm Plantations (SDM PKS), implemented through the synergy of RPN, BPDPKS, and Ditjenbun,” said Tjahjono, as quoted by Palmoilmagazine.com from Antara.

Over five days of technical training on cultivation, participants received instruction on regulations and policies related to the palm oil industry, seed selection, land preparation, planting techniques, crop maintenance, and pest and disease management, including weed control.

The technical training on plantation mapping, held over four days, combined classroom learning with hands-on field activities. The curriculum covered the basics of mapping, use of survey equipment, land tracking, plant census, polygon creation, data processing, result presentation, and map production.

As part of the field practicum, participants visited the PPKS Aek Pancur Estate in Deli Serdang Regency. “We hope this training will equip farmers with the knowledge to apply good and sustainable oil palm cultivation practices in the field,” concluded Tjahjono. (P3)
