In contrast, the CPO price at the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange saw an increase for the first time in the past three days on Thursday (14/12/2023). This uptick was attributed to the elevated cost of soyoil and the likelihood of decreased production in December, despite a reduction in exports that constrained the overall increase.

As reported by Reuters, the CPO reference contract with the code FCPOc3 for February 2024 delivery at the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose by RM 21 per ton, approximately 0.57%, reaching RM 3,691 (US$ 790.36) per ton. This reflected a 1.7% decrease compared to the Wednesday price.

Here are CPO prices at KPBN tenders (Rp./Kg), excluded income tax on Thursday (14/12/2023):

  • Franco Dumai Rp. 11.094-KJA
  • Lampung Rp 11.000-AMJP. (T2)
