PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) tender at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was priced at IDR 14,040/kg on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. This marks a 0.11% increase, or about IDR 15/kg, from the previous tender on Friday, October 4, which was IDR 14,025/kg.
According to information from KPBN, the CPO price in Dumai was IDR 14,040/kg. In Belawan, the price was also IDR 14,040/kg, but it was withdrawn (WD) with the highest bid at IDR 13,900/kg. In Teluk Bayur, CPO was priced at IDR 13,910/kg, while in Talang Duku, it was IDR 13,840/kg. Sei Tapung saw a price of IDR 13,801/kg, but the highest bid was withdrawn at IDR 13,570/kg.
As reported by Reuters, the CPO reference price at the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange decreased on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, as many traders engaged in profit-taking. The decline was compounded by lower soyoil and crude oil prices, which added downward pressure on prices.

The reference contract price for CPO delivery in December 2024 at the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange fell by 1.27% to RM 4,288 (US$ 1,000.23) per metric ton during midday trading. This follows a previous session’s highest closing price in six months of RM 4,349, reflecting an increase of 8.7% so far in October.
Soyoil contract price at Dalian Commodity Exchange got increased 0,79%; CPO contract price did too 2,58% for the traders continued the trade after a week – holiday. Soyoil price at Chicago Board of Trade got decreased 1,73%.
