PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) price at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was withdrawn (WD) on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The highest CPO bid stood at IDR 14,179/kg, marking a 4.2% decrease or approximately IDR 621/kg compared to the price on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, which reached IDR 14,800/kg.
Based on data from KPBN Inacom, CPO Franco Belawan & Dumai opened at IDR 14,288/kg but was withdrawn after receiving a highest bid of IDR 14,179/kg. Similarly, CPO Franco Sei Tapung opened at IDR 14,049/kg and was withdrawn, with the highest bid reaching IDR 13,775/kg.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that Malaysian palm oil futures weakened on Wednesday (April 9, 2025), erasing gains from the previous session. The decline was driven by falling prices of other vegetable oils on the Dalian and Chicago exchanges, along with growing concerns over a potential global recession.

The benchmark CPO contract for June 2025 delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives (BMD) fell by RM 45 or 1.07% to RM 4,143 per metric ton (approximately USD 920.67) during early trade.
In Dalian, the most active soybean oil contract declined 1.1%, while palm oil contracts dropped 1.55%. On the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), soybean oil prices corrected by 0.89%.
CPO prices tend to follow the trends of other vegetable oils due to their competition in the global edible oil market.
