KPBN Inacom CPO Tender Withdrawn on September 14, Highest Bid at IDR 15,700/Kg

The KPBN/Inacom CPO tender was withdrawn at several locations on Monday, September 14, 2026, with the highest bid at IDR 15,700 per kg in Dumai, while Malaysian palm oil futures closed mixed.

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) market opened the week on a relatively subdued note, with the PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN), also known as Inacom, tender recording withdrawals at several trading locations on Monday (September 14, 2026).

The highest bid was recorded at IDR 15,700 per kg for CPO on a Franco Dumai basis, down IDR 8 per kg, or around 0.05%, from the IDR 15,708 per kg recorded in the previous tender on Friday (September 11).

Data obtained by PalmOilMagazine from the KPBN tender showed that CPO at Franco Dumai was opened at IDR 15,755 per kg. The tender was subsequently withdrawn, with the highest bid at IDR 15,700 per kg.

A similar pattern was seen at other locations. CPO at FOB Talang Duku was opened at IDR 15,505 per kg before being withdrawn, with the highest bid at IDR 15,445 per kg.

At Franco Teluk Bayur, the opening price was IDR 15,555 per kg, while the highest bid reached IDR 15,343 per kg before the tender was withdrawn.

Malaysian CPO Futures Close Mixed

In the global market, CPO futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mixed on Monday as early gains were capped by profit-taking after prices moved higher during the session.

According to Bernama, the September 2026 CPO contract rose RM47 to RM4,597 per metric ton, while the October 2026 contract gained RM47 to RM4,717 per ton.

The November 2026 contract increased RM36 to RM4,850 per ton, while December 2026 gained RM14 to RM4,958 per ton.

However, the gains did not extend across the longer-dated contracts. The January 2027 contract fell RM4 to RM5,052 per ton, while February 2027 declined RM16 to RM5,132 per ton.

Trading activity also weakened. Bursa Malaysia CPO futures volume fell to 147,722 lots from 176,318 lots on Friday.

In contrast, open interest increased slightly to 351,160 contracts from 349,906 contracts previously.

In the physical market, Malaysia’s Southern region CPO price for September delivery rose RM10 to RM4,630 per ton.

The latest tender results point to a relatively stable domestic CPO market at the start of the week, although the highest bid at Dumai edged lower from the previous trading session.

Meanwhile, Bursa Malaysia continued to show strength in nearby CPO contracts, while January and February 2027 contracts came under pressure as market participants adjusted positions following the recent price gains. (A3)
