KPBN CPO Price Rises to IDR 15,721/kg on Sept. 21 as Malaysia Futures Fall

Indonesia’s KPBN CPO price edged higher on Monday, while the benchmark December contract in Malaysia extended its decline amid a stronger ringgit, weaker crude oil prices and softer Malaysian palm oil export estimates.

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) price set by PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) rose slightly on Monday (Sept. 21, 2026), even as CPO futures in Malaysia extended their decline for a second consecutive session.

KPBN set its CPO price at IDR 15,721 per kg, up IDR 13 per kg, or 0.08%, from IDR 15,708 per kg on Friday (Sept. 18).

According to KPBN data obtained by PalmOilMagazine, the Franco Dumai CPO price was set at IDR 15,721 per kg.

At Franco Teluk Bayur, the CPO price opened at IDR 15,521 per kg but was withdrawn, with the highest bid recorded at IDR 15,310 per kg.

The CIF Port of Gresik price also opened at IDR 15,721 per kg before being withdrawn. The highest bid was IDR 15,405 per kg.

Malaysia CPO Futures Extend Decline

In Malaysia, the December 2026 CPO contract on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange fell further on Monday.

According to Reuters, the contract declined RM41 per ton, or 0.84%, to RM4,857 per ton, following a 0.77% decline in the previous session.

The weakness was linked to several external and market-specific factors, including a stronger Malaysian ringgit, lower crude oil prices and signs of slower palm oil exports from Malaysia.

KPBN’s CPO tender results on Monday were as follows, in IDR per kg, excluding VAT:

  • Franco Dumai: IDR 15,721 – CTI
  • CIF Port of Gresik: IDR 15,721 (WD), highest bid IDR 15,405 – WNI
  • FOB Talang Duku: IDR 15,471 (WD), highest bid IDR 15,466 – PSCOI
  • Franco Teluk Bayur: IDR 15,521 (WD), highest bid IDR 15,310 – WIRA
  • Loco PKS S. Tapung: IDR 15,482 (WD), highest bid IDR 15,280 – AGM
  • Loco PKS Kembayan: IDR 15,346 – EUP
  • Loco PKS Ngabang: IDR 15,221 – EUP
