PALMOILMAGAZINE, SAMARINDA — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm plantations in East Kalimantan increased during the first period of May 2026, reflecting stronger crude palm oil market conditions.
Based on the pricing decision issued by the East Kalimantan Provincial Fresh Fruit Bunch Pricing Team for the period of May 1–15, 2026, the FFB price for oil palm trees aged over 10 years increased by Rp74.63/kg to reach Rp3,632.96/kg.
According to data released by the East Kalimantan Plantation Agency, FFB prices for younger oil palm categories were also set at higher levels.

FFB prices for three-year-old palm trees were determined at Rp3,190.48/kg, while four-year-old trees were priced at Rp3,292.00/kg.
Meanwhile, palm trees aged five years were valued at Rp3,382.77/kg, six-year-old trees at Rp3,457.08/kg, and seven-year-old trees at Rp3,507.07/kg.
For oil palm trees aged eight years, the price was set at Rp3,563.83/kg, while nine-year-old trees were priced at Rp3,607.22/kg.
The pricing team also established the crude palm oil (CPO) reference price at Rp15,293.70/kg, while palm kernel prices were set at Rp14,681.40/kg.
The K index used in the pricing calculation was determined at 88.36%, reflecting the revenue-sharing formula applied in the province’s palm oil sector. (P2)
