PALMOILMAGAZINE, MEDAN — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for smallholders participating in plasma partnerships in North Sumatra increased for the August 19–25, 2026 period. FFB from oil palm trees aged 10–20 years was set at IDR 3,917.50/kg, up IDR 15.40/kg from IDR 3,902.10/kg in the previous week.
The new prices were approved at a meeting of the North Sumatra FFB Price Determination Team for Plasma Partner Smallholders on August 19, 2026, held at the Padi Hall of the North Sumatra Agriculture and Food Security Agency in Medan.
According to data reviewed by PalmOilMagazine from the North Sumatra Agriculture and Food Security Agency, FFB prices for three-year-old oil palms were set at IDR 3,295.82/kg, while four-year-old palms were priced at IDR 3,513.71/kg. Prices for five-, six-, seven-, and eight-year-old palms stood at IDR 3,636.15/kg, IDR 3,744.44/kg, IDR 3,720.84/kg, and IDR 3,848.60/kg, respectively.

For nine-year-old palms, the FFB price reached IDR 3,885.53/kg, while the price for palms aged 10–20 years was IDR 3,917.50/kg. Prices for 21-, 22-, 23-, 24-, and 25-year-old palms were set at IDR 3,921.12/kg, IDR 3,883.59/kg, IDR 3,829.85/kg, IDR 3,710.88/kg, and IDR 3,600.84/kg, respectively.
For older plantations, FFB from 26-year-old palms was priced at IDR 3,571.50/kg, followed by IDR 3,518.17/kg for 27-year-old palms, IDR 3,461.90/kg for 28-year-old palms, IDR 3,403.95/kg for 29-year-old palms, and IDR 3,346.01/kg for 30-year-old palms.

The price-setting meeting also recorded an average local and export crude palm oil (CPO) price of IDR 15,543.87/kg, excluding value-added tax (VAT). Meanwhile, the average local palm kernel price was set at IDR 13,228.60/kg, with the K factor at 94.15%. (P2)
