PALMOILMAGAZINE, PADANG — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm smallholders in West Sumatra declined during the third pricing period of August 2026, covering August 15–21. The FFB price for oil palms aged 10–20 years was set at IDR 3,942.33/kg, down IDR 113.48/kg from IDR 4,055.81/kg in the previous period.
The price was determined at a meeting of the West Sumatra FFB Partner Price Determination Team held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the Plantation Division Hall on Jalan Jenderal Rasuna Said No. 77, Padang.
Based on data reviewed by PalmOilMagazine from the FFB Price Determination Minutes issued by the West Sumatra Food Crops and Horticulture Plantation Agency, FFB prices for the third August period were set according to plantation age as follows:

- 4 years: IDR 3,275.07/kg
- 5 years: IDR 3,468.96/kg

- 8 years: IDR 3,855.95/kg

For the latest pricing period, the CPO price used in the calculation was IDR 15,435.79/kg. The palm kernel price stood at IDR 12,945.00/kg, while the shell price was IDR 17.30/kg, with the K index at 94.54%.
The FFB prices serve as a benchmark for payments to cooperatives and smallholders partnered with plantation companies across West Sumatra during the applicable pricing period. According to the official minutes, the prices determined by the West Sumatra FFB Price Determination Team apply to all village cooperative units (KUDs) partnering with companies in the province.
Meanwhile, the minutes state that FFB prices for the fourth August 2026 period, covering August 22–28, are scheduled to be determined on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. (P2)
