Riau’s independent smallholder fresh fruit bunch prices declined across all plantation age groups, with the highest price set at IDR 3,866.97/kg for nine-year-old palms as the province’s average CPO price stood at IDR 15,552.66/kg.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU, INDONESIA — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent oil palm smallholders in Riau Province were lowered for the Sept. 30-Oct. 6, 2026 period, with the highest price set at IDR 3,866.97/kg for palms aged nine years.
The price represents a decline of IDR 18.19/kg from IDR 3,885.17/kg in the previous pricing period.

The Riau Provincial FFB Pricing Committee based the latest determination on several components, including the province’s average crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel prices.
For the latest period, the average CPO price was set at IDR 15,552.66/kg, while the average palm kernel price reached IDR 14,271.00/kg.
The K Index, another key component in Riau’s independent smallholder FFB pricing formula, was set at 93.30%.

Meanwhile, the BOTL component was recorded at 0.61%, with the shell price set at IDR 24.65/kg.
These components were used to calculate the official purchase prices for FFB produced by independent smallholders in Riau during the Sept. 30-Oct. 6 period.
