Sold Out: Koperasi Karya Indah RSPO Credits from Smallholders

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Widyo Anwar, the Chairman of Koperasi Karya Indah and Coordinator of Forum Komunikasi Koperasi Sertifikasi East Kutai, emphasized the indispensable role of stakeholders in East Kutai for the attainment of Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) and Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certifications.

Anwar highlighted the contributions of various entities, stating, “Our success in obtaining Cultivation Documents was made possible through the Plantation Agency, while Environment Agency facilitated Environment Cultivation Documents. The support and guidance of Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) over two years significantly contributed to our development.

Widyo also mentioned, the smallholders’ RSPO credit in the union has been sold out in palmtrace platform. It is hoped the fund would be the capital to welfare the members of the union.

“It is just waiting for the fund transfer from the buyers to our union’s account. Hopefully, we could develop the union to be better,” Widyo said. (T2)
