PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — The registration for the Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food Scholarship 2024 is now open, providing an opportunity for 45 talented graduates from high schools, vocational schools, and religious schools in the country to pursue a Diploma 3 (D3) degree at Institut Teknologi dan Sains Bandung (ITSB).
This scholarship not only covers the cost of education but also offers the chance to work with Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food.
The Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food 2024 scholarship features two optional programs: SMART Agro for plantation and SMART Mills for industry. Participants will receive an integrated education from both academic experts on the campus and industry practitioners.

The scholarship aims to cultivate intelligent and skilled agribusiness professionals capable of navigating the challenges of a dynamic era.
Dodi Mulyanto, Head of Learning and Development at Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food, mentioned that in 2023, 623 students benefited from the company’s scholarship program. The advantages included full coverage of educational expenses, living allowances per semester, internship opportunities in the company’s plantations, and career prospects for the top-performing graduates.
“In their study, the participants would get not only materials in classroom but also field work and internship in the company. These are about to escalate their technical skills, adapt with the work culture, develop their management and leadership. After graduating, they would have chances to work directly as assistants in the subsidiary of the company,” he said, as in the official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com recently.
Dodi also mentioned the scholarship would take young talented generations not to develop their will in agribusiness but also contribute to develop Indonesia in plantation sectors. “We would optimize every potential in agribusiness sector. This is the same with the scholarship theme, which is, Merajut Asa, Membangun Bangsa, Jelajah Indonesia,” he said.
One that got scholarship from Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food in 2019, Yayan Sutisna said that science and experiences he got when studying would be very useful in his work. He who studied Teknologi Pengolahan Sawit program study at ITSB is now working at Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food as mill assistant at Sungai Kikim Mill, District of Lahat, South Sumatera Province.
“I got many about palm oil industries. I learnt not only theories in the class but got field experiences when having field practices in the plantations of the company. These experiences really helped me to work now. I have to confirm the quality of palm oil process at Sungai Kikim Mill,” Yayan said.
He also told he is proud of himself for directly starting his career at Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food after studying and getting the scholarship. He was glad that his skills supported him to provide food and environmental fuel for the people of Indonesia and other countries “I do hope scholarship program would always be running to deliver chances for young generations to get higher education,” the young man from District of Kampar, Riau Province said.
Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food 2024 scholarship would take more young generations to realize their dreams. This would be available until 31 March 2024.
