PALMOILMAGAZINE, SORONG – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) and its subsidiaries celebrated National Cooperative Day by reaffirming their commitment to achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) and enhancing their positive impact on employees, communities, and the environment.
One of their key initiatives is the establishment of savings cooperatives in their subsidiaries in Southwest Papua, namely PT Putera Manunggal Perkasa (PMP) and PT Permata Putera Mandiri (PPM) in the regencies of Sorong Selatan and Maybrat.
The savings cooperatives aim to boost the local economy by providing easily accessible financial services, particularly for villagers who lack access to banks due to geographic limitations. The nearest bank to these companies is about 90 kilometers away, requiring approximately five hours of travel.
