PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Mansuetus Darto, a coordinator representing smallholders and an active supporter of Ganjar-Mahfud as Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate number 3 in the upcoming election, intends to cast his vote based on political considerations. He is optimistic that this candidate will bring about positive changes in the palm oil sector in Indonesia.
In the political realm, a crucial factor for Darto is the candidate’s commitment to involving the public in policymaking. Ganjar-Mahfud is recognized for creating an open public space and demonstrating skill in regulatory decision-making. The tradition of ‘visiting many places’ adds value by affirming a leadership style that is connected to the people in the era of technology and modernization.
Darto emphasizes the importance of selecting a leader who understands the economic challenges faced by the lower class, especially smallholders. This is crucial to avoid policies that solely benefit large groups. A candidate with a profound understanding of the needs of smallholders and policies that prioritize the well-being of the lower class is essential for positive outcomes.
